One of FUMC Sheridan’s major ministry emphases is the Summer Feeding Program. In partnership with other churches in the Sheridan/Grant County Ministerial Alliance, last year, we delivered over 15,000 meals to food-insecure children in Grant County. With the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent quarantine, food insecurity has increased dramatically in our county just since last year. We are thrilled to share with you that the Sheridan School District has secured a USDA grant to feed children throughout the summer. This grant permits the Sheridan School District to provide breakfast and lunch for food-insecure children seven days a week; these nutritious meals will be delivered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Please consider joining us in this important ministry by volunteering to deliver or distribute meals throughout Grant County. Our church is committed to providing assistance as the need arises. Currently, the following requirements must be met in order to volunteer. Please review and then contact Judy Green if you want to volunteer.
